Environmental management

Environmental management is about structuring your company’s environmental efforts to ensure continuous improvement in its environmental impact, while also documenting both the process and the results.

At Norion, we support you in developing and implementing a tailored environmental management system, enabling you to work actively and systematically with your environmental initiatives.

Why environmental management?

Environmental management is about structuring your company's environmental work to ensure that continuous improvements are made to the company's environmental impact, while documenting the process and results. Companies that work with environmental management demonstrate in a credible way to both customers and partners that they are in control of their environmental work and the company's environmental impact.

In addition to the environmental benefits of introducing an environmental management system, there can also be financial benefits, for example, through savings in energy, heat and water consumption and raw materials. A documented environmental management system can also help open up new opportunities for new markets, as more public customers and larger companies require their suppliers to have an environmental management system.

What do we offer?

Norion can support your business in developing a bespoke environmental management system, where we jointly define the scope and requirements of the system. Alternatively, we can assist you in achieving a certified environmental management system such as ISO 14001.

We guide your company through the development and implementation of an environmental management system in five main steps:

    1

    Mapping

We assess your company’s current environmental efforts by collecting relevant data and mapping existing behaviours and workflows.

    2

    Development of background documents

We prepare the necessary documentation for the environmental management system, including the environmental policy, procedural descriptions, and more.

    3

    Handover

We carry out a thorough handover of the environmental management system, including a walkthrough of the developed system and internal training on its use and maintenance.

    4

    Internal audit

We conduct an internal audit of the system’s implementation to ensure it has been properly integrated into your business operations – this typically takes place a few months after the system has been put into use.

    5

    Audit report

We prepare an audit report based on the internal audit, which can be used for the management’s annual review and evaluation.
